File / TPI Sophomore receiver Kaleb Ballard has the Division I offers rolling in this offseason, with Florida State and Virginia Tech being the most recent last week. Ballard had 573 total receiving yards last season with 10 touchdowns.

In only one year of football with the Indians, Wetumpka receiver Kaleb Ballard has already garnered widespread attention from coaches at the next level. Since this summer, Ballard has gotten six offers from Division I football teams, as well as taken a handful of unofficial visits to landmark programs such as the University of Georgia. During a visit prior to the start of football season, Ballard posted a photo to Facebook with Georgia coach Kirby Smart.

According to Wetumpka football coach and athletic director Bear Woods, there are many reasons why Ballard is drawing so much attention from college programs — even as just a sophomore.
