Ana Sofia Meyer / TPI London O'Neal had another double-double on Friday night, going up against area opponent Booker T. Washington in a big win, 59-24. She is the Player of the Week.

London O’Neal has made a big impact for Tallassee girls basketball since her freshman year last season. Last week, she finished with a total of 54 points and 34 rebounds for three-consecutive double-doubles. She is the Elmore County Player of the Week. 

“It’s been a tremendous growth from her freshman year to her sophomore year,” Tallassee coach Richard Taylor said. “She’s really put in a lot of work over the summer. She’s gotten stronger, she’s learning to play according to the defense. Last year she was coming in and she was just playing raw. In the summer, she went to a lot of camps and she really learned how to play and take what the defense gives her. As far as leadership, she’s one of those players that you love to coach. She’s gonna put in the work. She comes to work every day, every practice.”
