Elmore County linebacker Connor Pike has stepped up as a leader for the Panthers on defense. This season, he averages nearly 12 tackles per game, totaling 71 this season.

The ingredients needed to put a competitive product on the field are leadership, work ethic and pure passion.

Coach Kyle Caldwell has this in spades with his Elmore County unit this year in senior Connor Pike. Pike redefines what it means to be a catalyst for his team, rejuvenating the Panthers this season. After a stellar defensive performance from the Panthers under Weeks last season, Elmore County prepared to face the inevitable roster turnover with key players graduating from last year’s roster. Somebody was going to have to ring the bell for the Panther’s defense and Pike established himself as the guy early on in spring ball.
