Being an educator has always been in Kelli Fischer’s heart.

As a student at Dadeville High School and growing up with parents who were teachers, Fischer’s passion grew to extents that got her the role of principal of Opelika High School before serving as assistant principal for six years. Last month, Fischer was named the 2025-2026 Alabama High School Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals.
