In the shared history of the AISA and AHSAA, only two teams ever started in the AISA, went to the AHSAA and then went back to the AISA.

The first was Southern Prep Academy, which was named Lyman Ward at the time. The second was Autauga Academy, which just this summer returned to the AISA after two years in the AHSAA. Now, both of those teams unite on the football field for the first time since 1970.
