Horseshoe Bend School senior David Layfield achieved a height that has never been seen at HBS.

The Tallapoosa County Board of Education approved the recognition of Layfield winning the Class 2A cross country state championship for the HBS track team. Superintendent Casey Davis said it is the first state championship to come to the school since its existence in 1992.
