File / TPI State Sen. Will Barfoot will seek election in the legislature's District 26.

Sen. Will Barfoot, who previously announced that he will seek a new term in the Alabama Senate, said on Monday he plans to run for the District 26 legislative seat rather than the District 25 seat he currently holds.

Barfoot is currently representing District 25 but, after legislative districts were redrawn, has decided that District 26 needs a conservative option.
