Wetumpka resident's love for animals leads to thriving cat rescue

Cliff Williams / TPI Chrissy Talty of Wetumpka started Cat Lady Rescue about a year ago. She has placed about 30 cats in that time and has another 17 cats in her home. She has partnered with Cait Rolton of Prattville to start the rescue. They held an adoption event in Wetumpka Saturday.

A love of animals has led Wetumpka resident Chrissy Talty to start Cat Lady Rescue.

Even without nonprofit status but in the works, Talty and Cait Rollan of Cait’s Critters Rescue held a cat adoption in Wetumpka Saturday. Both have a long history of caring for animals.
