The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs knew they’d have a challenge for their first game of the season, but they came in prepared and executed like they knew they could.

They defeated the Prattville Christian Panthers 85-40 on their home opener, led by a 23-point performance by junior guard Heaven Bailey, with 14 steals for good measure. Freshman Kuraji Crosby came in with the second-highest points with 16, adding five defensive and two offensive boards.
