Titus doesn’t show up on too many maps. It’s off the main road near the Coosa River on the Coosa and Elmore county line. The location doesn’t mean much in the way of traffic though it does have its own post office and volunteer fire department.

Its claim to fame, however, is its Bluegrass Festival. It started 25 years ago with Southern Gentleman and this past weekend that same band was on the stage again in Titus.
