There is a saying that reverberates through Alexander City, and especially within the halls of Benjamin Russell. No matter the event, no matter the magnitude, the saying remains the same: “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.”

For someone like a BRHS graduate and Wildcat soccer alum, Lucan Yates, that saying takes on a whole new meaning as he steps into his next endeavor. Before it was on the pitch, now, it’s manning the sidelines as the new Benjamin Russell boys soccer coach.
