City participates in 75th annual National Day of Prayer

Preachers, singers, community leaders and many members of the community gathered at First Baptist Church Thursday to join other Christians around the United States to celebrate the 75th annual National Day of Prayer.

Seven categories, or areas of focus, received special prayers from different local pastors. The categories included family, church, government, first responders, education, economy/business and media. Community leaders from each focus area read specific passages followed by a special prayer from a pastor.
