One-time state champ had a good ring to it for Elijah Smith after his sophomore year. So much so he had to add some stakes to it, changing his title to a two-time state champ as a junior.

However, Smith thought three times wasn’t enough — so he went ahead and made himself a four-time state champion, winning his third Class 2A discus title and adding another in the shot put. Smith threw 162-feet-9 in the discus, setting a new Class 2A state meet record, along with beating out second place in the shot put by four feet.
