What started a type of therapy, has led Sandy Fomby Bishop down an artistic path that continues to lengthen and grow in ways she didn’t imagine.

Local artist Sandy Fomby Bishop recently completed her first book illustration for ‘Two Angels.’

“I've always done crafts,” Bishop said. “When I really got serious with (painting) was when Mama passed away in 2021. I saw a cow and I thought, ‘I want to paint that.’ As I was painting, I just felt like it was like a grieving process. It was like she was here (saying) ‘Keep going,’ because she was always my biggest supporter.”
