Patti Smith, Alexander City Theatre II’s (ACT II) director for this summer’s production of “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder, announced this week that the play has been cast and is now in rehearsal.
“Our Town” is a three-act play about the everyday lives of citizens in the fictional town of Grover’s Corners in the early 1900s. Wilder won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the piece, which emphasizes that every moment of life should be treasured.
