Chief: Use carbon monoxide detectors

In the past two months, there have been three reports of carbon monoxide emergencies in the area. Alexander City Fire Department chief Reese McAlister urges the public to be aware of carbon monoxide poisoning during the winter months.

The increased use of gas appliances and other devices that use heat during this time of year increases the likelihood of carbon monoxide poisoning.
