A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, has claimed the life of a Talladega woman.Â
According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Janice W. Bullard, 63, was fatally injured when the 2015 Chrysler 200, she was a passenger in, struck a horse standing in the roadway.Â

degrees south across Central Alabama.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of
subfreezing temperatures could cause pipes to burst.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

appropriate shelter from the cold.
To prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes they should be
wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly.
