A bill aimed at reducing metal thefts has been making its way through the Alabama legislature.

The bill, which started in the Alabama House of Representatives, has passed through committee and passed on the House floor, according to Rep. Mark Tuggle. It now will go to a Senate committee then to the Senate floor, and if no changes are made, it will proceed to the governor to be signed.
