DHS gym soon to open, waiting final inspection

The Dadeville High School gym will have renovated bathrooms, lobby, a female workout area and more. As soon as the final inspection is finished, students will be able to go in the new gym the next day.

Dadeville High School’s more than 60-year-old gym will soon be unveiled as practically new with the renovation work it has undergone.

Tallapoosa County Schools superintendent Ray Porter said although the gym’s opening was originally set for this October, the opening has been delayed due to the final inspection. There were a couple of small fixes that needed to be made and now another inspection needs to be scheduled.
