HBHS science teacher Micki Carroll helps a student with their class work. Carroll was named Horseshoe Bend High School teacher of the year.

In school, Micki Carroll’s favorite subject was science and for over 20 years that’s the subject she’s been teaching high schoolers at Horseshoe Bend School.

Carroll was recently named HBS’s high school teacher of the year. The week before Thanksgiving break, three administrators came to her classroom to let her know and congratulate her.
