After an EF-3 tornado ripped through Tallapoosa and Coosa County on Jan. 12, 2023, the area has worked to rebuild, make repairs and overall find recovery.

Lake Martin Area United Way executive director Courtney Layfield said there’s a spectrum of needs that must be met and the vision of recovery is going to look different from survivor to survivor.
