Memorial Tree Project at DHS aims to expand

The Dadeville Beautification Board laid out plaques in honor of DHS graduating classes. Each class has a chance to donate a tree that will be planted on school grounds.

A couple years ago, the Dadeville Beautification Board planted trees around the schools — each honoring a different graduating class. This fall, the board will be reopening for more donations and extending the project.

Beautification board member Elaine Forbus said there have been 56 class trees donated, but there are 73 graduating classes of Dadeville High School. The board would like to see all the classes with a tree.
