Donna Paul, a Montgomery-based rheumatologist who maintained an office and practiced in Alexander City this year, pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and one count of filing a false federal income tax return Nov .16, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Paul’s husband William was convicted Dec. 1 by a federal jury in Montgomery on four counts of tax evasion for tax years from 2004-2007 and one count of failing to file a tax return.
