STAMPING OUT HUNGER: United Way partners with USPS for food drive

After partnering with the United States Postal Service, the Lake Martin Area United Way helped the Salvation Army and Tallapoosa Christian Crisis Center collect food.

Something as simple as sending your mail can make a difference for someone in need.

Lake Martin Area United Way has partnered with the United States Postal Service to help Stamp Out Hunger. According to the USPS website, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive every second Saturday in May.Â
