Richard Galgan of Zion, Ill., caught this 30-pound, 42-inch long striped bass Tuesday night in 60 feet of water on the “lower end” of Lake Martin with the help of professional fishing guide David Hare.

The four family members on the boat caught 16 stripers on live shad, broke off three others and missed another dozen bites, Hare said.
