A former employee of the United States Social Security Administration office in Tallapoosa County pled guilty to embezzling Social Security Administration funds on March 16, according to United States Attorney George L. Beck, Jr.

Annetta Sheree Wilson-Hughes admitted to taking more than $20,000 from November 2010 to January 2011 during the course of her employment. Wilson-Hughes was arrested Nov. 17, 2011.
