Growing up an Auburn fan in the 1980s was a lot of fun.

Pat Dye was in the midst of winning four SEC titles and building one of the most feared football programs in the country. Hal Baird, highly respected by his peers, was just beginning to put his stamp on the baseball program coaching legends like Bo Jackson & Frank Thomas and Sonny Smith led the basketball program to five straight NCAA Tournament appearances with Charles Barkley, Chuck Person and the like. It truly was a Golden Era of Auburn Athletics.
