Horseshoe Bend sophomore Elijah Smith placed first in the shotput and discus at the Montgomery Invitational on March 30, 2024. Smith took home two of HBS' three first place finishes.

Horseshoe Bend sophomore track and field athlete Elijah Smith has been voted this week’s Fans’ Choice Player of the Week.

At the Montgomery Invitational last weekend, Smith placed first in the shotput and the discus. His shotput toss of 44 feet, 2 inches set a new school record while his discus toss of 138-4 was a season best. HBS had three total first place finishes as a team, two of which belonged to Smith.
