The day has finally arrived, and now the Horseshoe Bend football team is gearing up for the season opener against Saks, which finished 2-8 last season, including a 22-8 loss to the Generals.

Both Saks and Horseshoe Bend have an offensive scheme that prioritizes the run, both rushing more than 2,000 yards as a team each last season. Horseshoe Bend operates out of the wishbone, which typically features three running backs in the backfield.
