The Benjamin Russell baseball and softball teams each saw one of its athletes take the next step to play collegiate sports. Charlie Morgan inked his commitment to the Huntingdon College baseball team while Emily McWaters signed with Central Alabama Community College softball. 

According to Benjamin Russell's baseball coach Richy Brooks, Morgan knew where he wanted to be early on in the recruiting process. It took all of one visit to the campus and with the coaches for him to know that's where he saw himself playing.
