Wildcats take 3rd at state championships

Any other year and Benjamin Russell’s fishing team would’ve racked up enough points to take home the state championship.

But unfortunately for the Wildcats, it wasn’t any other year as Vestavia Hills and Briarwood Christian both had record-setting seasons themselves. After a tough finish on Lake Pickwick at the Alabama Student Angler Bass Fishing Association championships, the Wildcats had to settle for third in the state — good enough to tie their best finish ever on the Alabama lakes.
