HANOVER – Classes at Central High School of Coosa County were canceled Tuesday after the facility’s air conditioning system succumbed to the sweltering heat wave boiling the state.
Students were back in class Wednesday under cooler conditions after repairs were made to the school’s aging air conditioning system. Two industrial portable air conditioners were also brought in to further cool down the school’s lunchroom and library, which were the hottest places in the building.
