The Russell R will no longer appear on the Auburn Tiger’s jersey as it has for more than 70 years.

Thursday, Auburn University announced that it signed a five-year contract with Under Armour Performance. The Baltimore, Md. company, starting in the summer of 2006, will provided all of the college’s uniforms, cleats, apparel and accessories.
