The Alexander City Farmers Market opens for the summer Saturday at 7 a.m. at the Broad Street Plaza in downtown Alexander City.

The event features local farmers in addition to tents with baked goods, jams and arts and crafts vendors, according to Main Street Alexander City executive director Stacey Jeffcoat. Live music and bounce houses will be available for families throughout the summer, she said.
