It’s official. The seedings for the first 12-team College Football Playoffs are upon us. And, to say the least, I have my thoughts.

Let's address the elephant in the room: No Alabama. Instead, we have SMU taking its spot. I doubt there is anyone in the country, including the committee, who truly believes SMU is the superior team. However, one thing SMU hasn’t done which Alabama did is lose three games. Now, Alabama is the better team and its strength of schedule is far more difficult than SMU’s, but you cannot be rewarded a bid with losses to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma.
