There’s this dichotomy that adolescence is riddled with sexual encounters and yet is too innocent to know about sex. To be fair, adolescence is met with a lot of dichotomies being — the weird in-between place of childhood and adulthood. 

Regardless, teenagers should be educated on safe sex practices beyond abstinence as a way to prepare them for adulthood.
