If you’ve been reading Tallapoosa Publishers Inc.’s newspapers for long enough, you know I spent many years here as the sports editor. 

I lived and breathed high school sports in Tallapoosa, Elmore and Coosa counties. I have so many memories it’s hard to even put them all into writing. I remember Wetumpka scoring three times in a matter of like a minute in the first football game I ever covered for the Indians. I vividly remember covering the Coosa Cougars as they made their run to the boys basketball state championship — the first state title of my career too.
