Tallassee’s Jaiden Gordon carries the ball for the Tigers.
While the game-changing touchdown was scored by accident, the final 10 points of the game were scored with intention as the Booker T. Washington Eagles used a 20-yard field goal and a stingy defense to defeat the Tallassee Tigers, 17-14, Friday night in Class 4A Region 3 football action.
“This is one game; it doesn’t define our season,” Tallassee coach Lawrence “L.A.” O’Neal said. “I told them that the same thing happened last year; we lost to this team and then went on a spree and won the whole region. We’ve just got to show up on Monday with a good attitude and a willingness to get better.”
