Tallassee’s Community Library has been in the news in recent times due to its reputation of being inhabited by members of the spirit world. While other ghost-hunting organizations have conducted on-site investigations in the local building, which is located next to the Fitzpatrick Bridge on the east side of the Tallapoosa River, library director Sharon Kilpatrick is particularly excited about this weekend’s detailed examination of the premises by the Alabama Paranormal Research Team.

“They’re a very professional team, and they have several books out. They’ve done what I guess you’d call ‘ghost hunts’ all over the South,” said Kilpatrick. “This is the fourth paranormal group we’ve had here, and they have an excellent reputation.”
