Bond unchanged for Tallassee man selling THC gummies to minors

Jason Cowart is still in the Elmore County Jail after his arrest last month for two counts of chemical endangerment of a minor and two counts of sale of controlled substances to a minor.

Cowart, 26, of Tallassee, is accused of selling THC gummies to a 14-year-old and his younger sister. He was scheduled for preliminary and bond reduction hearings in front of Elmore County District Court Judge Glenn Goggans. Cowart’s attorney, Tierran Luck III, filed motions to waive the preliminary hearing for a bond reduction as Cowart was being held on $150,000 cash bond and was not in court.
