Tallassee BB&T robbed

Shortly before noon on, Monday, November 07, 2016 Tallassee Police Officers responded to BB&T bank located on Gilmer Avenue due to reported robbery. Upon arrival it was determined that an unidentified white male entered the business, with his head covered. He made gestures to the clerk as he removed his hands from his coat pockets and leaned over the counter. He removed an undisclosed amount of currency from the drawer and fled out on foot.

He was last seen traveling west on Gilmer Avenue in a green possible Toyota Camry or  a Lexus sedan. The vehicle appeared to have a reddish dirt all over the vehicle. The white male is described as being between 5’6” to 5’8” stocky built, he was last seen wearing dark colored hoody and camouflage pants or overalls, wearing dark gloves.
