Coming in Tuesday night’s game against Benjamin Russell, Tallassee’s softball team was on a 10-game win streak. But that all ended as the Wildcats put up four early runs and held on for a 4-2 victory.

Benjamin Russell immediately set the tone, as it held Tallassee (13-5) scoreless in the top half of the first inning and got its bats going in the bottom. With one out, Asia McWaters laid on one and sent it flying over the centerfield fence for BRHS’ first run of the night. Jayme Marbury followed with a single and was moved along by a Taylor Harris sacrifice bunt.
