James Luke Taunton, 41, of Tallassee, was arrested Wednesday in Tallassee by the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department for first-degree sexual abuse.

According to court documents, Taunton allegedly “used fear and intimidation to control the victim” and washed only the victim’s private areas during a two-week period in January.
