A plethora of forfeits helped Elmore County’s wrestling team to a pair of victories on Thursday night. The Panthers defeated Shelby County, 48-32, despite having only two wins on the mat and they received five forfeit victories en route to a 60-21 defeat of Holtville.

Carson Thomas started things off at 106 pounds against Shelby County and picked up a pin against Nick Sykes. ECHS then took a 12-0 lead with a forfeit.Â
