Being able to walk from the new Tallassee Recreation Center to the Big Eddy on the Tallapoosa River in Tallassee is close to a reality.

Recent partnerships have allowed the mulching of City of Tallassee property adjacent to the Big Eddy, the city’s wastewater treatment facility and Highway 229 have created a walking path about 1.2 miles in length.
