Alabama is set to see renovations and exciting changes to its state parks.

Residents of the state get to be the first to enjoy the state parks and their soon-to-be upgrades with a new 13-month booking system, Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources commissioner Chris Blankenship said to Dadeville Kiwanis Club members during his visit last Friday. Only Alabama residents can book a stay at state parks 13 months out as spots fill up fast at parks that celebrate holidays or festivals.
