Dadeville council approves final fire truck ride for DHS cheerleaders

The Dadeville city council heard updates from city city departments about requests and improvement efforts. 

Dadeville fire chief Scott Atkins said Fire Station Two will be finished next Friday. He also asked for the council not to approve for Dadeville High School cheerleaders to ride on the fire truck during the homecoming parade as requested. The football team also requested that juniors and seniors on the team ride on the ladder truck, which Atkins asked the council not to approve as well. The council approved the cheerleaders for the last year, but did not approve the football team.
