Submitted / TPI Sav-A-Life Tallapoosa County cuts the ribbon with the Lake Martin-Dadeville Area Chamber of Commerce in front of its service van parked outside of First Baptist Church Dadeville to celebrate joining the chamber. The organization began bringing their van to the city in April on the first and third Tuesday each month.
Two organizations in the business of saving lives are the newest members of the Lake Martin-Dadeville Chamber of Commerce.
New Hope Rescue, Inc. and Sav-A-Life Tallapoosa County held ribbon cuttings last week, officially celebrating the new landmark for each organization. New Hope Rescue is a foster-based animal rescue organization, however its presence is not new to the area. New Hope Rescue director Jenny Rogers partnered with Animal Care Center veterinarian Michelle Reed to establish Snip for Hope, a nonprofit program designed to offer low-cost and free spay and neuter services to the community. The rescue was also responsible for recovering almost 100 cats from a property in Dadeville and five dogs and six puppies from another.
