Park to celebrate battle anniversary

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park will commemorate the Battle of Horseshoe Bend on March 26.

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park will take a trip back to the year 1814 on Saturday, March 26 as the park hosts the 197th anniversary of the Battle of the Horseshoe.

The annual event recreates frontier life in the year 1814 and emphasizes the importance of the battle in U.S. history through special demonstrations and interpretive programs.
