Teaching take off: Tallapoosa County pilot named one of AOPA’s best instructors

Serving Dadeville, Reeltown and Tallassee, Aero Engine Solutions aviation chief Ty Ashe has proved his dedication to aviation becoming the recipient of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association’s Best Instructor of the Central Southern Region of the United States award. 

An AOPA press release stated the award highlights exceptional dedication to flight training, safety and mentorship within the aviation community. Ashe has been teaching aviation for more than 40 years. He said his inspiration for becoming an instructor stemmed from his passion for flight.
